HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 04241990 - 90/242r, Q IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Cozmnending the Court) Appointed Special Representatives Resolution No. : 90/242 Program (CASR) During National Volunteer Week, 1990 WHEREAS volunteering one's time and resources is an undisputed part of our heritage and is essential to our nation's well-being; and WHEREAS to achieve a better society for ourselves and for our children, we must work together for the betterment of all our citizens; and WHEREAS government alone cannot solve all of our society's problems because of the magnitude and nature; and WHEREAS 120 Court Appointed Special Representatives (CASR's) work each day, not for profit or for recognition, but to LI build better lives for approximately 300 dependent children in Contra Costa County; and WHEREAS CASRs transform limited resources into unlimited possibilities as well as offer love and compassion, and provide leadership and hope. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa, California, SETS ASIDE April 24, 1990, as CASR Recognition Day to honor those 120 Contra Costa County residents whose voluntary contributions of time, energy and money provide leadership and hope to the children of the County, and COMMENDS the Court Appointed Special Representatives Program (CASR) for the outstanding role it plays in fulfilling the needs of abused and neglected children who are dependents or are involved in the Juvenile Court process. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE BOARD ON APRIL 24, 1990. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution entered in the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date aforesaid.
