Ygnacio Valley Commuters Lions ) RESOLUTION NO. 90/203
Club of Walnut Creek
WHEREAS the Ygnacio Valley Commuters Lions Club of
Walnut Creek was chartered on April 26, 1975 to create and foster
a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world and to
take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral
welfare of the community; and
WHEREAS the Ygnacio Valley Commuters Lions Club of
Walnut Creek encourages people to serve their community without
personal financial reward, and encourages efficiency and promotes
high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public
works and private endeavors; and
WHEREAS the Lions Clubs International motto is "We
Serve" ; and
WHEREAS the Ygnacio Valley Commuters Lions Club of
Walnut Creek has faithfully carried out the Lions Clubs Interna-
tional motto by giving aid to the sick, stricken or handicapped,
and in its many projects that have benefitted the community; and
WHEREAS the Ygnacio Valley Commuters Lions Club of
Walnut Creek celebrates its Fifteenth Charter Anniversary on April
14 , 1990 .
NOW THERE IT IS RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Contra Costa hereby congratulates the members of
the Ygnacio Valley Commuters Lions Club of Walnut Creek on the
accomplishment of fifteen years of dedicated service to Walnut
Creek and surrounding communities.
PASSED on April 3 , 1990 by unanimous vote of the Board
members present.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and
correct copy of an order entered on the minutes of said Board of
Supervisors on the date aforesaid.
