HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12151987 - 2.13 2.13 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, California Adopted this Order on December 15. 1987 by the following vote: AYES: SEE BELOW FOR VOTE NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: SUBJECT: Additional Transportation Issues of Mutual Interest to Contra Costa and Solano Counties Following its discussion this day on additional transportation issues not addressed at the December 8, 1987, joint meeting with the Solano County Board of Supervisors, the Contra Costa Couny Board of Supervisors RESOLVED to promote and coordinate the development of the port facilities in Contra Costa and Solano Counties, including the development of the Baldwin Ship Channel associated with those facilities. PASSED by the Board by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson, McPeak NOES: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors further RESOLVED to: 1. REQUEST CALTRANS to take appropriate actions necessary to stop the collection of tolls on the Martinez-Benicia Bridge between the hours of 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. each Friday in order to expedite the flow of through traffic across the bridge; and 2. REQUEST CALTRANS to analyze all reasonable alternative locations for toll plaza placement, and to develop any new toll plazas to as to minimize the traffic congestion approaching the bridge and upgrading such toll plazas to reflect current state-of-the-art toll collection practices. PASSED by the Board by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder NOES: Supervisors Torlakson, McPeak ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown.
