HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12082015 - C.55RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #24-403-14 with Jon Whalen, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $300,800, to provide outpatient psychiatric services to minors for the period from February 1, 2016 through January 31, 2017. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 50% Mental Health Realignment Funds and 50% Federal Financial Participation. On February 10, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-403-13 with Jon Whalen, M.D., for the provision of professional outpatient psychiatric services for the period from February 1, 2015 through January 31, 2016. Approval of Contract #24-403-14 will allow Contractor to continue providing outpatient psychiatric services through January 31, 2017. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s professional outpatient psychiatric services, which may result in a reduction in overall services to the community.
