ADOPT Position Adjust Resolution No. 21788 to add one (1) Victim/Witness Assistance Program Specialist (65SA)
(represented) part-time (20/40) position at salary plan and grade QV5 1191 $3,619 - $4,399) in the District Attorney's
office - Human Trafficking Unit.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$46,554, 80% State Human Trafficking Grant, 20% In-Kind match.
BACKGROUND:
The District Attorney's office receives a grant that focuses on identifying and assisting victims of human trafficking.
The Human Trafficking Advocacy Program grant will fund a half time victim advocate to provide critically important
services to victims of sex trafficking and labor trafficking in Contra Costa County. Additionally, the advocate would
work collaboratively with law enforcement, community organizations and the county human trafficking coalition to
increase awareness about human trafficking and provide training and outreach to the community.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The District Attorney will be unable to receive the grant funding from the State of California.
