a term expiring June 30, 2017, as recommended by Supervisor Federal D. Glover:

BACKGROUND:
The Economic Opportunity Council duties and responsibilities include: To participate in, and advise the Board of
Supervisors regarding the selection of the Director. To exercise all powers delegated to it by the Board of
Supervisors. To hold public hearings to determine overall program goals for the EOC. To review fiscal and
programmatic reports submitted by staff and the performance of Community Services Block Grant.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Position would remain vacant.
