HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11102015 - C.54RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #77-002 with Lifelong Medical Care, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $403,200, to provide primary care medical services for the Contra Costa CARES Program, for the period from November 1, 2015 through April 30, 2017. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded by 50% General County Funds and 50% from a combined contribution of local hospital entities (Kaiser Permanente, John Muir Health and Sutter Delta Medical Center) for the Contra Costa CARES Program. The program anticipates enrolling up to 3,000 individuals. Specialty care, dental, vision, emergency care and hospitalization are not covered benefits of the program. Under Contract #77-002, the Contractor will provide primary medical care services to the Contra Costa Cares Program, through April 30, 2017. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, low income, uninsured adults would not have access to primary care services in Contra Costa County. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
