Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract #74-419-5 with William E. Berlingieri, M.D., an individual, in an
amount not to exceed $313,600, to provide outpatient psychiatric services in West County,
for the period from January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
For a number of years the County has contracted with Medical, Dental and Mental Health
Specialists to provide specialized professional services that are not otherwise available. On
January 6, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-419-4 with William E.
Berlingieri, M.D, for the period from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015, for the
provision of outpatient psychiatric services to mentally ill adults in West County. Approval
of Contract #74-419-5 will allow Contractor to continue providing outpatient psychiatric
services through December 31, 2015.
