HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11102015 - C.43RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Assistant Director of Human Resources, or designee, to execute a contract, including amended indemnification language, with Benefit Coordinators Corporation, in an amount not to exceed $75,000 to assist the County in complying with the reporting and eligibility requirements of the Affordable Care Act for the period September 1, 2015 through September 2, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of this contract will be recovered through the Benefits Administration Fee. BACKGROUND: Starting in 2016, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will require that the County file information returns with the Internal Revenue Service and to provide statements to employees about the health insurance coverage offered by Contra Costa County. Benefit Coordinators Corporation will assist the Human Resources - Benefits division to comply with the ACA requirements.
