Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Interagency Agreement #28-697-13 with Antioch Unified School District, a
government agency, to pay County an amount not to exceed $5,600, for the Public Health
Clinic Services Scoliosis Screening Project for its 7th and 8th grade students, for the period
from September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Interagency Agreement will allow Antioch School District to pay County
$4.00 per student to support the Public Health Clinic Services Scoliosis Screening Project.
No County funds match required.
BACKGROUND:
Antioch School District has requested that Contra Costa Health Services, Public Health
Clinic Services, provide Scoliosis Screening Clinics at their middle schools for their 7th
grade girls and 8th grade boys, throughout the school year. By providing an outreach
program such as the scoliosis screening of their students, the School District is able to
provide a valuable diagnostic and preventative service to their students who might otherwise
