Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#26-611-7 with Dennis McBride, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $550,000, to provide primary
physician patient care at the County’s adult and juvenile detention facilities for the period September 1, 2015 through
August 31, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On September 10, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-611-5 (as amended by Amendment
Agreement #26-611-6) with Dennis McBride, M.D., for the provision of primary physician patient care for patients
at the County’s adult and juvenile detention facilities including, but not limited to: clinical coverage, consultation,
training, medical and/or surgical procedures, and on call coverage for the period from September 1, 2013 through
August 31, 2015. Approval of Contract #26-611-7 will allow Contractor to continue providing primary care
physician patient care through August 31, 2017.
