Clover Mahn, resident of Rodeo, expressed her appreciation and support for the Rodeo area, the sheriffs and
firefighters, and Phillips 66;
Lawrence Davis, resident of Oakland, spoke on the need for increased wages for In-Home Support workers to
keep pace with the cost of living;
Melody Lacy, resident of Martinez, spoke in support of In-Home Support workers wage increase and thanked
the Board for progress made so far;
The following people spoke on behalf of the striking nurses of Contra Costa County in regard to their concerns
over staffing shortages impacting patient safety and the staffing retention issues due to low compensation:
Zach Goldman, Union Representative; Judy Gonzales ; Tina Voss; Jeanne Cunningham; Maggie Ewing;
Anthony Pizzo; Joseph Orguson; Stephanie Macaba; Mireya Diaz; Liz Isenberg.
Written comments were received from the CNA Nurse Negotiating Team (attached).
