DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to forward the response to the Superior Court immediately following Board action. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. This is an informational report. BACKGROUND: On June 8, 2015 the 2014/15 Civil Grand Jury filed the above-referenced report regarding the status of the the Court system in Contra Costa County. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: In order to comply with statutory requirements, the Board of Supervisors must provide a response to the Superior Court. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: No impact. The District Attorney’s Office and Superior Court both benefit from Community Court due to the reduction in misdemeanor cases that each must process. Response: Agree.
