RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A
PUBLIC STREET
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Pursuant to Chapter 3, "General Vacation Procedure, " of Part 3
of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code, this Board
declares its intention to vacate portions of the County streets
commonly known as Miranda Avenue and Livorna Road, more spec-
ifically described in attached Exhibit "A" . This proposed
vacation is generally located in the area of Alamo. A map of the
portions to be vacated is on file in the Public Works Department.
This Board will meet on Tuesday, January 26, 1988 at 10: 30
a.m. in its Chambers, Administration Building, 651 Pine Street,
Martinez, California, to hear evidence offered by any interested
party as to whether these areas are unnecessary for present or
prospective public use.
This Board DIRECTS the Clerk to have a copy of this resolution
of intention published in a newspaper of general circulation
published and circulated in this County, which is selected as the
newspaper most likely to give notice to persons interested in the
proposed vacation, for at least two successive weeks before the
hearing in accordance with Streets and Highways Code, Sections
8320 and 8322 . Said notice shall be posted conspicuously along
the line of this proposed vacation at least two weeks before the
hearing, in accordance with Streets and Highways Code, Section
8323 .

MIRANDA AVENUE PARCEL
A portion of that road known as Miranda Avenue which is described in deed to
.Contra Costa County recorded September 10, 1878 in Book 35 of Deeds at page
325, Records of Contra Costa County, California, described as follows:
Commencing on the northwesterly line of said Miranda Avenue (50 feet in
right of way width) at the northeasterly terminus of the course with a
bearing and distance of "south 360 36' 31" west, 301.26 feet" as described
in PARCEL ONE of EXHIBIT "A" of the OFFER OF DEDICATION - ROAD PURPOSES to
Contra Costa County recorded June 19, 1987 in Book 13270 of Official Records
at page 967; thence from said Point of Commencement continuing along said
northwesterly line and course south 360 36' 31" east 141. 42 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING of the following described parcel of land from which
point a radial line of a curve concave to the northwest having a radius of
225.00 feet bears north 140 26' 59" west; thence northeasterly along the arc
of said curve, through a central angle of 380 56' 30, a distance of 152.92
feet to the southeasterly line of said Miranda Avenue (35 D 325) ; thence
along said line, south 360 36' 31" west 296.17 feet to a point from which a
radial line of a curve concave to the west having a radius of 270.00 feet
bears north 640 26' 08" west; thence northerly along the arc of said curve,
through a central angle of 260 10' 4011, a distance of 123.36 feet to the
said northwesterly line of Miranda Avenue; thence along said line, north 360
36' 31" east 43.15 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Containing an area of 6,615 square feet of land, more or less.
RESERVING TBEREFROM: Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8340 of the
Streets and Highways Code, the easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, enlarge, maintain, operate, replace, remove, and
renew those existing and in place utilities and storm drain. facilities, as
of the date of recording this instrument, in, upon, over and across any
highway or part thereof proposed to be abandoned, including access to
protect the property from all hazards, in, upon, and over the area herein
before described to be abandoned.
LIVORNA ROAD PARCEL
All of that parcel of land described in deed to Contra Costa County recorded
April 12, 1973 in Book 6912 at page 25 of Official Records of said County
and a portion of that Contra Costa County road known as Livorna Road being
described as follows:
Beginning on the southerly line of Livorna Road at the most easterly corner
of PARCEL "C" as shown on the map of Subdivision MS 180-76 filed August 1,
1977 in Book 56 of Parcel Maps at page 38, records of Contra Costa County;
thence from said point of beginning along said southerly line, north 860 52'
15" west 130.84 feet; thence north 860 51' 25" west 20.44 feet to the most
easterly corner of that said Contra Costa County parcel (6912 O.R. 25) being
shown as "Area deeded to Contra Costa County" on the map of M.S. 300-72
filed March 8, 1973 in Book 26 of Parcel Maps at page 47; thence along the
boundary of said parcel, south 150 06' 35" west 25.74 feet; thence north 740
53' 25" west 5.00 feet to a point from which a radial line of a curve
concave to the southwest having a radius of 20.00 feet bears north 740 53'
25" west; thence northwesterly along the arc of said curve, through a
central angle of 1010 58' 0011, a distance of 35.59 feet to the most westerly
corner of said "Area deeded to Contra Costa County" (26 PM 47) ; thence
leaving said southerly line of Livorna Road north 30 07' 45" east 49.99 feet
to the northerly line of said Livorna Road; thence along said northerly line
south 860 52' 15" east 262.15 feet to a point of cusp of a tangent curve,
concave to the southeast having a radius of 45.00 feet through a central
angle of 1170 29' 1611, a distance of 92.28 feet to a point of cusp on the
westerly line of Easy Street as said street is shown on the map of STONE
VALLEY HOMES recorded September 3, 1952 in Book 48 of Maps at page 5, from
which a radial line ,of a curve concave to the southwest having a radius of
20.00 feet bears south 650 38' 29" west; thence northwesterly along the arc
of said curve, through a central angle of 620 30' 4411, a distance of 21.82
feet to the north line of Lot 1 of said STONE VALLEY HOMES (48 M 5) ; thence
along said north line north 860 52' 15" west 25.38 feet to the easterly line
of said PARCEL "C" (56 PM 38) ; thence along said easterly line north 240 33'
35" east 5.37 Feet to the most easterly corner of said PARCEL "C", the point
of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM: the northerly 10.00 feet of the above described
parcel.
Containing a net area of 9,347 square feet of land, more or less.
RESERVING THEREFROM: Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8340 of the
Streets and Highways Code, the easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, enlarge, maintain, operate, replace, remove, and
renew those existing and in place utilities, as of the date of recording
this instrument, in, upon, over and across any highway or part thereof
proposed to be abandoned, including access to protect the property from all
hazards, in, upon, and over the area herein before described to be
abandoned.
