APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute Contract Amendment No. 2 to the
Consulting Services Agreement (CSA) with Ghirardelli Associates, Inc. (Ghirardelli), effective June 1, 2015, to
increase the payment limit by $92,000 to a new payment limit of $442,000, for construction management services
for the San Pablo Dam Road Walkability Project, Project No. 0662-6R4051
FISCAL IMPACT:
This project, including the CSA, is funded by 44% Transportation for Livable Communities Funds, 16% Proposition
1B Funds, and 40% Local Road Funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Director, or designee, executed a CSA, dated August 12, 2014, with Ghirardelli for construction
management services for the San Pablo Dam Road Walkability Project.
On May 12, 2015, the Board approved Amendment No. 1 to the CSA to increase the payment limit by $100,000 to
compensate Consultant

for providing additional construction management services.
Proposed Amendment No. 2 will amend the payment limit of the CSA so that the Consultant can be compensated for
providing additional and final construction management services.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The consultant would not be compensated for services needed to complete the project.
