HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10062015 - C.02RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2015/4431. Pursuant to Sections 22507 of the California Vehicle Code, parking is
hereby declared to be prohibited at all times, except for the loading or unloading of bus passengers, on the west side
of Parker Avenue (Road No. 0971C), beginning at a point 180 feet south of the centerline of Second Street (Road No.
1795H) and extending southerly a distance of 58 feet, thence beginning at a point 104 feet north of the centerline of
Sixth Street (Road No. 1975B) and extending northerly for a distance of 36 feet, Rodeo area.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
The establishment of prohibited parking is at the request of WESTCAT (the bus service agency of West County).
WESTCAT staff asked Public Works Traffic to consider establishing red curb where motorists currently park at
existing bus stops on Parker Avenue. Upon investigation, it appears this restricted parking zone will keep the areas
clear for bus access and enhance user accessibility.
