Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#27-913-1 with J. Arias Medical Corporation, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $150,000, to provide
Primary Care services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members for the period from August 1, 2015 through
July 31, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Conta Costa County Enterprise Fund II.
BACKGROUND:
In September 2013, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract
#27-913 with J. Arias Medical Corporation, for the provision of Primary Care services to Contra Costa Health Plan
members for the period from August 1, 2013 through July 31, 2015. Approval of Contract #27-913-1 will allow
Contractor to continue providing Primary Care services through July 31, 2017.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their
Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
