HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08182015 - C.57RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Standard Agreement #28-643-8 (State #15-10252) with the California Department of Public Health, in an amount up to $258,044 in funding, payable to County, for the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Community Intervention Program, for the period from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2019. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Agreement will result in up to $258,044 for the STD Community Intervention Program. (No County match required.) BACKGROUND: The purpose of this project is to facilitate, develop, and enhance local capacity for STD awareness and prevention through a process of community-health department collaboration and partnership. This agreement includes agreeing to indemnify and hold harmless the State from any claims arising out of the performance of this Agreement. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, the County will not receive funds to continue providing education to providers and to the public regarding the incidence of STDs, correct treatment and prevention.
