HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07282015 - C.29RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21709 to add one (1) Registered Nurse- Experienced Level (VWXD)
position ($7,305-$8,142) and cancel vacant Licensed Vocational Nurse (VT7G) position #14341 in the Contra Costa
Health Plan division of the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, the costs associated with this action will be approximately $54,198 annually with benefits, including
$13,088 in pension costs. Costs will be funded by CCHP Enterprise Fund II.
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa Health Plan's Authorization Unit is in need of a Registered Nurse to back up the other RN's in the unit
with all nursing related tasks due to the increasing number of members in CCHP. The Licensed Vocational Nurse
(LVN) position can only assist the RN's with one task in the unit, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) requests. Due
to the time sensitive patient care needs, it is critical the Authorization unit has another Registered Nurse to handle all
aspects of nursing within the unit.
