Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #23-538-3 with TEK Systems, Inc., a corporation, effective July 1, 2015, to amend Contract
#23-538 (as amended by Amendment/Extensions #23-538-1 and #23-538-2), to increase the payment limit by
$500,000, from $1,470,000 to a new payment limit of $1,970,000, with no change in the original term from March 1,
2013 through June 30, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This amendment/extension is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
In May 2013, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #23-538
(as amended by Contract Amendment/Extension Agreements #23-538-1 and #23-538-2) with TEK Systems, Inc. for
the provision of qualified contract-to-hire and/or direct placement candidates for hard to fill positions in the Health
Services Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period from March 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-538-3 will allow the Contractor to provide additional
contract-to-hire or direct placement candidates through June 30, 2016.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, the Division will not have access to Contractor’s staffing services for hard to fill
positions in the Department’s Information Systems Unit.
