Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#74-108-68(2) with Soheila Fanaee, MFT, an individual, in an amount not to exceed $130,000, to provide Medi-Cal
specialty mental health services, for the period from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 50% by Federal Medi-Cal and 50% State General Fund (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
In July 2013, the County Administrator approved and Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #74-108-68
[as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #74-108-68(1)], for the provision of Medi-Cal specialty mental
health services, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2015. Approval of Contract #74-108-68(2) will
allow Contractor to continue providing Medi-Cal specialty mental health services through June 30, 2017.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, Contractor will not be able to provide services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries resulting in a
lower level of services to the community.
