County
Subject:APPROVE the sale of surplus real property to Olorunfunmilola Akinshilo
FISCAL IMPACT:
The County will deposit 100% of the funds into the Public Liability Fund.
BACKGROUND:
In 1996, Contra Costa County acquired the real property at 1291 Beaulieu Drive in Bay Point, CA, after a
landslide occurred that affected a portion of Beaulieu Drive and adjacent public roads. On April 21, 2015, the
Board of Supervisors determined said property to be surplus and no longer needed for public purposes. The
Notice of Public Land Sale set June 3, 2015, at 1:00 PM at 255 Glacier Drive, Martinez, as the time and place
where oral bids would be received and considered. The highest bid received for the real property, in accordance
with the terms and conditions of sale approved by this Board, was $249,500 by Optionee, at which time the
amount of $10,000 was deposited as an option-bid deposit to secure completion of the transaction.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The County will continue to own and be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the subject property.
