Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#26-774-1 with Robert Buckley, M.D. an individual, in an amount not to exceed $375,000, to provide orthopedic care
at Contra Costa Regional Medical Centers and Contra Costa Health Centers (CCRMC) for the period from July 1,
2015 through June 30, 2018.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
For a number of years the County has contracted with Medical, Dental, and Mental Health specialists to provide
specialized medical services.
On July 29, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-774 with Robert Buckley, M.D., for the provision
of orthopedic care including clinic coverage, and training at CCRMC for the period of July 1, 2014 through June 30,
2015.
Approval of Contract #26-774-1 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide orthopedic care at CCRMC through
June 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, patients requiring orthopedic care at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s
services, which may result in a reduction in the levels of service to the community.
