APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with
the Regents of the University of California, Davis, in an amount not to exceed $387,495, and authorize a mutual
indemnification clause in the contract, to provide Eligibility, Employment Services, Adult Services; and General
Leadership Training for the period July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:

BACKGROUND:
Training provided by the University of California (UC) Davis to Employment and Human Services Department
(EHSD) meets State regulations that allow public institutions of higher education to provide in-kind match funding
equal to the California Welfare Department's share of costs, resulting in no expense to the County, and a higher
