HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07072015 - C.93RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase
order, with WW Grainger Co, in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00 for small equipment, supplies and tools for the period from
August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2016, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This cost is to be funded through Public Works 15/16, 16/17 Facilities Services budget. (100% General Fund)
BACKGROUND:
WW Grainger Co provides thousands of facilities maintenance parts, supplies, tools and equipment available to
Facilities Maintenance in a next day format. Grainger has been awarded a contract through the Western States
Contracting Alliance (WSCA contract #1824) which allows us to utilize them for purchases of parts, supplies, tools
and small equipment. Utilizing such a government contract guarantees fair pricing and exceptional service. This year
we have added Public Works Road Maintenance's needs into this purchase order and are expecting overall purchases
to be a bit higher.
