HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07072015 - C.74RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract with the Contra Costa Community College District in an amount not to exceed $631,125 to provide educational courses at the Law Enforcement Training Center for the period July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: No County costs. $631,125 revenue. The College District will pay the Office of the Sheriff $3.75 per student instructional hour that is eligible for state general apportionment less guest lecturer costs and standard student enrollment fees. BACKGROUND: The Contra Costa Community College District provides educational courses through its various programs to meet the needs of the Office of the Sheriff's Training Program. The Contra Costa Community College District will transcript all acceptable coursework for the Office of the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Training Center students. In addition, $3.75 per student instructional hour will not be claimable, resulting in a budget shortfall of $631,125 in the LETC Enterprise Fund for fiscal year 2015/16.
