HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07072015 - C.58RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, (Amendment) Agreement #28-344-3 (07-1318A) with the California Department of Health Care Services, effective July 1, 2015, to amend the Medi-Cal Targeted Case Management Provider Participation Agreement to make Administrative and technical adjustments for the Medi-Cal Assistance Program with no change in the original amount of $50,000,000 payable to County, and no change in the original term from July 30, 2013 through June 30, 2018. FISCAL IMPACT: None. There is no change in the original amount of $50,000,000 in funds payable to County for the Medi-Cal Assistance Program through June 30, 2018, from the California Department of Health Care Services. No additional County match is required. BACKGROUND: Since 1997, the Department of Health Care Services has funded many Local Governmental Agencies (LGA) to provide Targeted Case Management (TCM) Services. Targeted Case Management (TCM) is a Federal Program funding the provisions of comprehensive case management services to individuals within a specified target group. On June 25, 2013, the Board approved Agreement #28-344-2 with the California Department of Health Care for County’s Medi-Cal Assistance Program, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2018., Approval of Amendment #28-344-3 will make technical adjustments to the Agreement allowing the County to continue receiving funding for the Medi-Cal managed care expansion program through June 30, 2018. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment agreement is not approved, the County will not be able to comply with state and federal requirements to continue the Targeted Case Management services.
