Subject:Amendment Agreement #28-344-3 with the California Department of Health Care Services
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Section 1115 Medicaid demonstration waiver and the related Medi-cal managed care expansion, new TCM policies
and procedures require an amendment to the current TCM provider Participation Agreement. On June 25, 2013, the
Board approved Agreement #28-344-2 with the California Department of Health Care for County’s Medi-Cal
Assistance Program, for the period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2018.,
Approval of Amendment #28-344-3 will make technical adjustments to the Agreement allowing the County to
continue receiving funding for the Medi-Cal managed care expansion program through June 30, 2018.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment agreement is not approved, the County will not be able to comply with state and federal
requirements to continue the Targeted Case Management services.
