HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06162015 - FPD C.03RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No.5071 authorizing new revenue in the amount of $555,000 for
the purchase of two Type III wildland engines and reallocating existing revenue for the purchase of specialty rescue
equipment and firefighting equipment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action increases revenue and appropriations by $555,000.
BACKGROUND:
The District recently received a larger than anticipated end of year distribution from the redevelopment property tax
trust funds. This request would authorize recognizing that surplus amount in the current fiscal year (2014-15) and
appropriating it towards the purchase of two (2) Type III wildland engines.
Additionally, this request would authorize reallocating existing revenue from some building maintenance projects to
the purchase of capital specialty rescue equipment (hurst tools) and non-capital firefighting equipment (high rise hose
and equipment, wildland gear, ladders, swiftwater rescue gear, etc.).
