SUBJECT: Approve Transfer of Jurisdiction of Danville Parking Maintenance District
to City of Danville
Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background & Justification
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPROVE transfer of the jurisdiction of the Danville Parking Maintenance District from
Contra Costa County to the City of Danville.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
All funds and assets will be transferred to the City of Danville.
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
The City of Danville on February 3 , 1986, Resolution No. 6-86 (attached) approved the
transfer from the County to the City of Danville for jurisdiction over the District.
The City further requested that all funds and assets of the District which have not previously
been transferred to the City now be transferred and DIRECTS the County Auditor-Controller
to make this transfer to the City Treasurer.

RESOLUTION NO. 6-86
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANVILLE
AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION FOR DANVILLE
PARKING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
Whereas, the Danville Parking Maintenance District was formed to
provide for the support of the municipal parking lot; and,
Whereas, the City of Danville has accepted responsibility for
the operation of the municipal parking lot since incorporation
and has incurred expenses in its maintenance efforts; and,
Whereas, the continued maintenance of the parking facility will
be aided by the revenue available to the Parking Maintenance
District;
Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of Danville
resolves:
that the City of Danville requests that jurisdiction for the
Danville Parking Maintenance District be transferred by the
Board of Supervisors to the City Council of the City of
Danville; and further, _
that the City of Danville shall continue to operate
the municipal parking lot.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of February
1986, by the following vote:
