HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06162015 - C.73RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-169-11 with Lifelong Medical Care, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000, to provide Primary Care, Urgent Care and Specialty Medical Services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members, for the period from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On July 8, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-169-10 with Lifelong Medical Care for the provision of Primary Care and Specialty Medical Services to CCHP members, for the period from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. Approval of Contract #27-169-11 will allow Contractor to provide Primary Care, Urgent Care and Specialty Medical Services through June 30, 2016. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be pro-vided.
