HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06162015 - C.65RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the Probation Department, a purchase order with Victory Supply in an amount not to exceed $175,000 for the purchase of clothing, hygiene, personal care items for detained youth as required by the Board of State and Community Corrections, the Welfare and Institutions Code and Title 15 CCR. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% County General Fund; Budgeted. BACKGROUND: The California Board of State and Community Corrections, the Welfare and Institutions Code and Title 15 CCR require that the Probation Department provide bedding, clothing, hygiene, and personal care items to detained youth. The Probation Department has a longstanding relationship with Victory Supply. They have provided excellent customer service, quality merchandise, and are the best value to the Department. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The Probation Department will be unable to comply with the California Board of State and Community Corrections, the Welfare and Institutions Code and Title 15 CCR.
