APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Department, or designee, on behalf of the Small
Business Development Center, to apply for and accept grant funding in the amount of $35,000 from the Keller
Canyon Mitigation Trust Fund to perform outreach and deliver, both advise and training to start-up businesses in
Contra Costa County for the period June 30, 2015 through July 1, 2016.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$35,000: Keller Canyon Mitigation Trust Fund. No County Costs.
BACKGROUND:
The Keller Canyon Mitigation Trust Fund offers a yearly grant to interested parties to provide youth services, code
enforcement, public safety, community beautification, and community services. The Small Business Development
Center (SBDC) submitted an application and will receive funding to for community outreach and to provide advise
and training to start-up business in Contra Costa County.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
SBDC will not be able to provide services to start-up businesses.
