ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21682 to add one (1) Lead Materials Technician (91VD) position
($4,150-$5,044) and cancel vacant Information Systems Specialist III (LTTA) position #12775 in the Health Services
Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There will be no additional costs associated with this action. There will be a cost savings of $17,571 annually with
this action.
BACKGROUND:
The Lead Materials Technician position will allow Contra Costa Health Services IT to be more efficient by
combining duties in the ordering, receiving, managing, and organizing of information technology supplies and
equipment. While the job specification states this is a GSD position, this position is also in DoIT and reports to a
Telecommunications Manager within DoIT. Creating this position will also allow career growth within CCHS IT.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, CCHS I.T. will not be able to utilize the appropriate job classification for the ordering,
receiving, managing and organizing of its information technology supplies and equipment.
