(“Parsons”), in an amount not to exceed $250,000.00, for construction management services for the Marsh Creek Road Safety Improvements Project, for the period of June 16, 2015 through June 30, 2016, Clayton area. County Project No. 0662-6R4025/Federal Project No. HRRRL/HSIPL 5928(095) FISCAL IMPACT: Construction funding for this project, including this CSA, is funded by 49.5% High Risk Rural Road (HRRRL) Funds, 7.2% Proposition 1B Funds, 34.8%East County Area of Benefit Funds, and 8.5% Contra Costa Water District Funds. BACKGROUND: The project consists of realigning the existing curve, both horizontally and vertically. A 22-foot wide detour road will be built south of the existing project to detour traffic off the existing road prior to when realignment work begins. A steel crib wall and Midwest guardrail system will be installed along the new north edge of paved shoulder. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) drainage ditches, driveway culverts, signing, striping and utility coordination to relocate a 4-inch CCWD waterline and AT&T joint poles, and temporary removal of a call box in the Clayton area (the “Project”). Parsons was selected to provide construction management services for the project after completing a request for qualifications solicitation, technical proposal, and interview process. Public Works has successfully negotiated with Parsons to provide the construction management services. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without Board of Supervisors’ approval, this CSA will not be in effect. A delay in the construction of the Marsh Creek Road Safety Improvements will occur, ultimately delaying the completion of the project. Project delay may also result in substantial additional project costs and jeopardize the funding. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
