SUBJECT: Convey Superceded Access Rights
Pinole Animal Shelter
Project No: 3340-2310 (Work Omer No. 5537)
Pinole Area
On August 21, 1984, this Board adopted Resolution No. 84/501 approving
Property Transfer and Improvement Agreement with Jones Development Company. Said
Agreement provided for the conveyance of the easterly 60 feet of the Pinole Animal
Shelter to Sugar City Building Co., while reserving an access and utility easement to
the property. The Agreement also provided for extinguishing the reserved access
rights upon completion of a new road to the Shelter. Said deed was recorded June 6,
1985 in Book 12348 at page 80, Official Records of Contra Costa County.
This Board, having been advised by the Public Works Director that a
suitable roadway to the Pinole Animal Shelter is nearly finished, hereby FINDS that
upon its completion, the access rights reserved in said deed (12348 O.R. 80) are no
longer needed or necessary for County or other public use and that their value does
not exceed $10,000. Therefore, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.5 the Board
Chairman is AiT ERIZED to sign a Quitclaim Deed on behalf of the County releasing said
rights to Sugar City Building Materials Co.
The Real Property Division of the Public Works Department is DII2E7= to cause the
Quitclaim Deed and a certified copy of this Resolution to be delivered to the grantee
upon completion of the new access road to the Pinole Animal Shelter and acceptance of
same as a City Street by the City of Pinole.
