HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06092015 - C.106RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Aspiranet in an amount not to exceed $115,367 to provide promoting safe and stable families services for the period July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016 . FISCAL IMPACT: $115,367: 100% Federal Promoting Safe and Stable Families (CFDA 93.665) BACKGROUND: Contractor was selected as a result of competitive bidding process. Promoting Safe an Stable Families (PSSF) funding is used to support services to strengthen parental relationships and promote healthy marriages, to improve parenting skills and increase relationship skills within the family to prevent child abuse and neglect, while also promoting timely family reunification when children must be separated from their parents for their own safety. Funds may also be used to remove barriers which impede the process of adoption when children cannot be safely reunited with their families and to address the unique issues adoptive families and children may face.
