Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Unpaid
Student Training Agreement #26-632-1 with Napa State Hospital for its Dietetics Department, an government
agency, to provide supervised field instruction at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health
Centers to dietician students, from August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2020.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None
BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this agreement is to provide Napa State Hospital for its Dietetics Department and dietitian students
with the opportunity to integrate academic knowledge with applied skills at progressively higher levels of
performance and responsibility. Supervised fieldwork experience for students is considered to be an integral part of
both educational and professional

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, the students will not receive supervised fieldwork instruction experience at Contra
Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers.
