HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05122015 - C.64RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Director of Child Support Services, or designee, to execute a contract with
National Cinemedia LLC, including modified indemnification language, in an amount not to exceed $68,895, for
theater advertising for the period of May 18, 2015, through November 30, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This project will be fully funded by allocations from the Federal Government at 66% and State of California at 34%.
There is no cost to the County.
BACKGROUND:
National Cinemedia will run advertisements for The Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) in local movie
theaters informing the public of the services offered and contact information for the office. Federal regulations
require DCSS to advertise the department's services to the public. Advertisements increase the number of cases
opened and the number of families assisted in the collection of financial and medical support for children.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action were not approved, it would lessen the ability for The Department of Child Support to advertise services
they offer.
