ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21656 to add one permanent full-time Mental Health Clinical Specialist
(VQSB) at salary level QT2-1384 ($4,382.92- $5,082.84) and cancel vacant permanent part-time Mental Health
Clinical Specialist (VQSB) position #8157 and permanent intermittent Mental Health Clinical Specialist (VQSB)
position #14076 at salary level QT2-1384 ($4,382.92- $5,082.84) in the Health Services Department. (Represented)
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost savings of $13,788.49 with a pension increase of $13,858.76.
100% funded by the General Fund.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the retirement of two Mental Health Clinical Specialists assigned to the West County Adult Mental Health
Clinic, we are requesting to cancel their positions #8157 (20/40) and #14076 (permanent intermittent), and add a
full-time position assigned take on a full caseload.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
By having one permanent full time employee, it will give consistency and continuum of care for the clients and
consumers at the West County Mental Health Clinic.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, the Health Services Behavioral Health Division will not be able to best serve the
mental health consumers and clients of West County.
