HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04212015 - C.65RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-654-10 with Bay Area Tumor Institute, a non-profit corporation, effective April 1, 2015, to amend Contract #26-654-9, to increase the payment limit by $750,000, from $650,000 to a new payment limit of $1,400,000, with no change in the original term of August 1, 2014 through July 31, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This is a contingency fee contract Amendment. Contractor receives a percentage of the amount it collects on behalf of the County. Due to an increase in patient Anti-Cancer/Hepatitis C Treatment Drugs, higher than expected, the County requested and the Contractor agreed to provide additional reimbursement services. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-654-10 will allow the Contractor to be paid for providing additional pharmaceutical drug recovery services, through July 31, 2015. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be able to provide additional pharmaceutical drug recovery services on behalf of the Department. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
