Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#27-368-14 with River Counseling Center, an unincorporated association, in an amount not to exceed $280,000, to
provide professional outpatient psychotherapy services for the Contra Costa Health Plan members for the period from
March 1, 2015 through February 28, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan (Health Plan) Enterprise Fund II. Costs depend upon
utilization. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care services for its members
under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
May 7, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-368-13 with River Counseling Center, for the period
from March 1, 2013 through February 28, 2015, to provide outpatient psychotherapy services.
Approval of Contract #27-368-14 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide outpatient psychotherapy services
through February 28, 2017.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms
of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
