Health Services Department (5999)/Fleet ISF (0064): Approve Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment #5058
authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $58,488 from Behavioral Health Services Division -
Administration to General Services – ISF Fleet Services (0064) for the purchase of three (3) vehicles for the
implementation of a mobile crisis support team.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action increases appropriations in General Services – Fleet Services (0064) and reduces appropriations in
Behavioral Health Services (5999) by $58,488. This purchase is funded 100% by California Health Facilities
Financing Authority Grant.
BACKGROUND:
The Mobile Crisis Support Team project will link mental health consumers to fast, professional crisis services during
encounters with first responders. As needed, this team will respond with law enforcement to provide critical response
services including: crisis assessment, resource linkage, targeted case management,

and other interventions or strategies to integrate a system-wide response and provide access to multiple public and
private organizational resources.
Purchase of these vehicles will allow County to implement the Mobile Crisis Support Team project.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this appropriation adjustment is not approved, the Division will not be able to purchase cars to implement a
mobile crisis support team project.
