HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03102015 - C.55RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute an amendment
to Purchase Order #50726 with Hill-Rom Inc., to add $40,000 for a new total of $139,000 for rental of hospital beds
to be used at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC), for the period through February 9, 2015.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I Budget.
BACKGROUND:
Hill-Rom Inc. has provided CCRMC with rental beds when replacement beds are needed due to repairs and bed
brake-downs. The County buys beds from Hill-Rom Inc., so the rental and replacement of beds is faster and more
efficient using Hill-Rom Inc. The County usage went over the original approved Purchase Order limit which left
approximately $40,000 of unpaid invoices at the end of the term. This amendment is to pay for outstanding invoices
for rental beds and bed replacements.
