Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase
Order with Beckman Coulter, Inc. in the amount of $280,000 for reagents and supplies needed to conduct urinalysis
testing on patients seen at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and the Contra Costa Health Centers
for the period February 1, 2015 through January 31, 2021.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% funding is included in the Enterprise Fund I Budget.
BACKGROUND:
Beckman Coulter is the laboratory’s prime source of reagents and supplies used for urinalysis testing done on the
Uricell 2000 Urinalysis Analyzer.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this Purchase Order is not approved, the laboratory will not have the reagents and supplies needed to properly care
for patients seen at the CCRMC and the Contra Costa Health Centers.
