HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02102015 - C.58RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #24-403-13 with Jon Whalen, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $300,800, to provide outpatient psychiatric services to minors for the period from February 1, 2015 through January 31, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 50% by Mental Health Realignment Funds and 50% Federal Financial Participation. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: For a number of years the County has contracted with Medical, Dental and mental Health Specialists to provide specialized professional services. On January 14, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-403-12 with Jon Whalen, M.D., for the provision of professional outpatient psychiatric services for the period from February 1, 2014 through January 31, 2015. Appproval of Contract #24-403-13 will allow Contractor to continue providing outpatient psychiatric services through January 31, 2016.
