Bragdon Director of Community Development DATE: October 27 , 1986 - ------- SUBJECT: Proposed Fee Increase for the Community Development Department SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) A BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: Present a motion to introduce the ordinances (1) Fees for Planning Services and (2) Adopting and Increasing Fees for Planning Services, waive reading of ordinances and set for adoption on November 4, 1986. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The increase in fees is requested to lessen dependence on funds from the County General Fund. REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: The recommendation is a required step in the process of adopting/changing fees.. The increased fees are required to offset costs related to the current and advance planning divisions. IMPACT OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Fees will remain at their present level and additional revenues to cover costs will not be realized. The Board introduced two ordinances one amending the County Ordinance Code and the other not a part of the code, both setting forth increases in fees for planning service, and fixed November 4, 1986 for adoption.
