HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02032015 - C.37RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Aspiranet, a Non-Profit Corporation, to increase the payment limit by $28,084.00 to a new payment limit of $228,084.00 for continued receiving center services, with no change in the contract term of July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: $228,084: 70% State 30% County BACKGROUND: This amendment will add $28,084 to the contract for unanticipated expenses. Contractor was selected through competitive bid process, Request for Proposal 1136. The Receiving Center serves as the hub of the Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) emergency shelter system. It provides temporary care to children who have been taken into protective custody and children and youth who are transitioning into foster placements. The Receiving Center offers a homelike setting and is designed to promote stability in placement, focus on the needs of the individual child, minimize move, and supports permanency at the early stages of EHSD intervention.
