FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. BACKGROUND: The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District is an "all hazards" fire and rescue organization that provides fire suppression, advanced life support emergency medical response, technical rescue, water rescue, and many other services to nine cities and the unincorporated areas of Contra Costa County. In 2014 the Fire District responded to a number of significant incidents in challenging and varied environments and that often included out-of-the-ordinary circumstances. This presentation provides a look back at some of those incidents, highlighting partnerships, training, prevention, and excellent patient care.
