HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01062015 - C.104RECOMMENDATION(S): ACCEPT report from the Employment and Human Services Department on the operations of the Covered California Call Center and the Affordable Care Act, and ADOPT Resolution No. 2015/6 as recommended by the Family and Human Services Committee. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact is associated with this report. BACKGROUND: On April 16, 2013 the Board of Supervisors referred oversight and receipt of an update on the establishment and success of the Contra Costa County Covered California Call Center to the Family and Human Services Committee. Staff from the Employment and Human Services Department presented a report at the December 8, 2014 meeting of the Family and Human Services Committee. The report attached is essentially the same as the report presented to the Committee. However, the Committee requested several changes. The meaning of some performance indicators was clarified;information pertaining to the County's contract with Covered California was clarified; and, at the Committee's suggestion, the attached resolution recognizing and thanking those who have worked to make the 7Cs Call center a success has been attached for Board adoption. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If the Board of Supervisors does not accept the report and adopt the resolution those who made the Call Center a success will not be recognized.
