HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12162014 - C.83RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #25–012–31 with The Center for Common Concerns, Inc. (dba HomeBase), a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $222,180, to provide consultation and technical assistance to the Department on the Continuum of Care planning and resource development, for the period from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 45% by Federal Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA), 24% by budgeted by County General funds and 31% by Housing Urban Development(HUD). (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On July 8, 2014, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #25–012–30, (as amended) with The Center for Common Concerns, Inc. (dba HomeBase), for the period from September 30, 2014, for the provision of consultation and technical assistance to the Department on the Continuum of Care planning and resource development, including grant-writing services for County’s McKinney-Vento application. (dba HomeBase) BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Division is requesting an October 1, 2014 start date to avoid any interruptions in service. Approval of Contract #25–012–31 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through September 30, 2015. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County will no longer have the expertise needed to meet all federal guidelines to secure maximum McKinney-Vento funding required to implement the 10-year plan to eliminate homelessness in Contra Costa County.
